Presence
The acclaimed director challenges his creative boundaries with this clever ghostly tale shot entirely through the eyes of a ghost. After a clan featuring mother Rebekah and her distressed teen Chloe settles into their new suburban house, the filming device – as the unseen entity – tracks their movements. The daughter appears sensing the poltergeist, and it looks like defensive toward her. However, the motive remains? This is an entertaining concept that remains concise, featuring a surprise that may be unexpected. October 11th, 4.35pm, 10.10pm, Sky Cinema

The Tammy Faye Biopic
In the battle between spirituality and money, the winner is obvious for Mammon in this director's wonderfully garish film adaptation about the fallen TV preacher plus her lawbreaking partner. Andrew Garfield plays the greedy Jim, who states early on, asserting religious justification for riches. Both individuals begin profiting from the people's Christian beliefs. It's an extravaganza of poor styling, overdone appearance and insincerity, though the lead actress achieves to present the character as a sympathetic figure.
